Style Me: I Styled My Boyfriend For Fall And Here’s How It Went

While this blog primarily focuses on women’s fashion, it does remain a fashion blog for everyone. So, here’s to all the male readers who want to see how I dabble in men’s fashion! My boyfriend, Cédrick, graciously allowed me to choose five outfits for him to wear this week, for different occasions from casual to classy. Let’s dive in!

Casual Everyday Look:

A truly casual but put-together look, I decided to go with an all-black outfit. Nothing says minimal effort with maximum style like monochromatic outfits! Here, Cédrick is wearing a black Nike t-shirt from Simons, thrifted black trousers ($3.99), black socks, and black slip-on Vans. Layered on top, he’s wearing a thrifted Levi’s jean jacket, a black beanie from Walmart, and some blue-light glasses from American Eagle. Perfect outfit for just going out to shop around or to run errands on a brisk fall day.

Casual Date Look:

Imagine going to an art museum or talking over coffee. That’s what I had in mind when I pieced together this outfit. I wanted to focus on this adorable collared long-sleeve top so I paired it with casual Levi’s 505 Jeans in a medium-wash, white shoes, and his white Adidas sneakers. I decided to accessorize with rings and his Urban Outfitters tote bag which matched the colours of the fit.

Classy Everyday Look:

Can you tell I have a weak spot for the academic look on him? For this classy everyday look, I was imagining a look you would wear if you had to go to class but wanted to add a little bit of moxie to your look. My mind went straight to the old “collared-shirt and sweater” look. Here, Cédrick is wearing a thrifted Harvard sweater, layered on top a white collared shirt, with brown trousers. I paired this outfit with white socks and white Adidas shoes, though you could pair this with loafers to elevate the look further. I also accessorized him with the same blue-light glasses from American Eagle, rings, his chain, and a tote bag. If you wanted to add a coat, my suggestion would be to lean towards a peacoat or oversized denim jacket.

Classy Date Night Look:

Doesn’t he look so handsome? My love is wearing a blue mock-neck long-sleeve from Simons, thrifted black trousers, thrifted Zara leather loafers ($23.99!) and accessorizing with rings. This is such a classy look. You get the chicness from the black but the personality coming through on the royal blue. If you wanted to add a coat, I would go with a trench coat or peacoat.

Just For Fun Look:

This truly is a just-for-fun look! I absolutely love the bad boy vibe mixed with academic fashion flare. Here, Cédrick is wearing a thrifted statement leather jacket from Queen’s University, layered atop a Tommy Hilfiger sweater vest in cream, thrifted brown trousers, and finished with his white Adidas shoes. I accessorized the look with his rings, chain, and these amber-tinted sunglasses he picked up from Simons. I don’t know where exactly you would wear this but I think he just looks really cool in this outfit.

Well, that’s my list, folks! Other than showing off the love of my life, I wanted to give my readers a view on how I would style some menswear. I look forward to doing more of these in the future! I hope you enjoyed and make sure to follow my instagram!
