4 Ways to Style Blazers

I have been a fan of blazers ever since I started thrifting. They are a timeless and effortless way to spruce up any outfit. I got my first blazer at the thrift store for $6.99 and the collection has only grown from there. Here are some of the ways I style my blazers.

  1. Pop of colour

I love how this pop of red brings a new vibrance to an otherwise neutral outfit! The red blazer brings out the other red details from my outfit like on the scarf and my shoes. I got the blazer from the thrift store ($10.99), t-shirt from Simons ($19.99), trousers from thrift store ($8.99), scarf from Urban Planet ($12.99), and Reeboks from Winners ($49.99). Overall, this is a great outfit for when you don’t want to put too much effort but still want to look like you did!

2. Monochrome boss babe

Ah, don’t we love a monochromatic look! As I have mentioned in other posts, a monochrome look is the easiest way to look put together no matter what the style of outfit. Here I went for a boardroom boss babe look with my thrifted black blazer ($11.99), black mock-neck long-sleeve from Simons ($29.99), favourite black trousers ($6.49), and black boots from Le Château (they were a gift). This look could easily swap out the boots for heels for a more polished look.

3. Graphic tees, please

I love this look! The blue from the blazer is complemented by the tone of the denim. Similar to the first look, this look uses a graphic tee to make the look that much more casual as well as giving some more visual interest. Here, I am wearing a thrifted blue blazer (compliments of my boyfriend’s closet), a Steamboat Willie t-shirt from Uniqlo ($19.99), the best-fitting jeans I’ve ever worn from Old Navy ($39.99), and my god-sent loafers from the thrift store ($10.99). The slicked-back ponytail and big sunnies give this look a little added class and drama. Perfect for a day out!

4. 70’s vibes

Self-portrait by me:)

I love this look because all the colours vibe so nicely together. The warm tones definitely give off a 70’s vibe. Here, I am wearing a thrifted plaid blazer ($12.99), brown turtleneck from Plato’s Closet ($7.99), my go-to beige trousers ($8.99), and I wore this look with my regular Reebok sneakers. Since this look gave me 70’s, I decided to put on my Movement glasses from Eyebuydirect.

Those are my blazers! They are definitely a favourite of mine when it comes to layering as they provide such a diversity of looks. Hope you enjoyed this week’s post and let me know which was your favourite or tag me in your blazer pics on Instagram! Be sure to keep up to date with all things OMG on my Instagram @_marissagalko !
