I Let A Random Colour Generator Pick My Outfit Theme: Here’s How It Went
Happy New Year! In 2022, I want to incorporate more colour into all aspects of my life like my food and my style. I have seen outfit inspo of colourful fits all over Instagram with one of my current favourite Instagrammers being @evelilycp . Her bold incorporation of colour and patterns is inspiring. In an effort to experiment in her fashion, I decided to go to a random colour generator to give me a colour palette to work with every day. I only got through Monday-Thursday but the experience was interesting and fun nonetheless. Here’s what I came up with!
Monday: Pink and Green
My first colour scheme was this array of pinks, green, and purple. I looked at my closet and thought about what I could throw together. I absolutely loved these pants from Simons as my base layer/focus piece. It incorporated the pink and green elements. I decided to pull that beautiful green out from the pants by wearing this tank top of the same colour from Old Navy. Lastly, I was cold so I decided to put on a top layer. This thrifted cardigan from Dynamite went perfectly to make that pink pop! There you have it, a Monday outfit!
Tuesday: Hot Pink and Electric Blue
On Tuesday, I was given this palette with pinks (again) and this electric blue. I knew immediately what to do. I love this bright pink top from H&M paired with these blue trousers from Simons. These colours contrast so well. I also found it quite cute that this fit matches my personal planner that you can spot in the first photo. Overall a very cute Tuesday outfit!
Wednesday: Bright and Burnt Oranges
On Wednesday, I was dealt this beautiful array of sunny colours. I have quite a few pieces in this colour palette but decided to make an outfit I have not done previously on this blog. I have this bright orange top that my sister bought in Prague a few years ago that I paired with one of my favourite pairs of trousers. I saw that I had this scarf that matched the outfit exactly so I went with a classic neck tie situation. Overall, I get very 70s vibes from this as well as Velma from Scooby-Doo as many of you have pointed out. I’m not complaining!
Thursday: Navy Blue and Yellow
Last but certainly not least is this little blue and yellow number! I was dealt this last colour palette and had an outfit locked and loaded! I bought these pants in the summer and I have been waiting for the perfect pieces to complete an outfit. The whole outfit is thrifted but the blazer is from my boyfriend (no other tag), the sweater also does not have a label, and the pants are from Topshop. I think this is pretty strong outfit to finish on!
